Painted Shield is an untraditional rock band of members Pearl Jam co-founder Stone Gossard, folksinger Mason Jennings, soul innovator Brittany Davis, and iconic drummer Matt Chamberlain. Since 2014, Gossard and Jennings have been collaborating on songs, but they started to pick up the pace in 2020 and brought along Davis and Chamberlain with them. Together, they are a strong blend of four different musical backgrounds and musical interests.


In 2021, they released their self-titled debut album, a blend of moody synthesizers and riff-ready roots rock, and in 2022, they released Painted Shield 2 which really showcased their full musical scope. Painted Shield 2 is a creation of genre-bending, rhythmic rock that makes room for electronic soundscapes and organic bombast.
